Chio Saeteurn, Founder & Principal

Chio Saeteurn is a seasoned government relations and public policy strategist with more than 13 years of experience in Washington State government. Having served two state senators and two state agencies, she understands the policymaking process from both the legislative and executive branches and how policy is developed, negotiated, funded, implemented, and regulated.

Her work spans legislative strategy, policy development, budget advocacy, government relations, stakeholder and community engagement, and coalition building across a wide range of issues, including affordable housing, insurance, consumer protection, public safety, education, environmental sustainability, clean energy, natural resources, and emergency preparedness.

Throughout her career, Chio has worked with legislators, state and local governments, trade associations, labor unions, Tribal governments, community organizations, and other stakeholders to advance policy and budget priorities and build support for practical solutions. Her experience also includes Washington’s response to recent historic flood and wildfire disasters while serving at the Department of Natural Resources and at the Office of the Insurance Commissioner, bringing firsthand insight into the coordination and responsiveness required when governments, communities, and organizations face complex and rapidly evolving challenges.

Chio brings a distinctive perspective to her work, shaped by both professional and lived experience. Her approach is grounded in listening, understanding different perspectives, and bringing people together. She believes strong policy solutions are built through broad, strategic coalitions and careful consideration of how decisions affect people, organizations, and communities - including potential unintended consequences.
